Saudi Visa Policy by Etihad Travels

Hajj & Umrah Ministry and the Saudi Ministry of Tourism will present Three Types of Visa Processes for the year 2024-2025, i.e., 1445/46 Hijri. Here, we have listed the three different types of Saudi Visas:

a) Saudi Electronic Visa Waiver: Only British Passport Holders can obtain this visa. It is valid for 180 days and lasts 90 days with a single entry. There are no restrictions; you can visit any city in KSA.

b) Saudi Tourist Visa: Validity of 1 year with multiple entries, for which you can visit up to 90 days for each stay. You can travel anywhere in KSA and perform Umrah as well.

c) Saudi Umrah Visa: Book through an approved travel operator for up to 90 days. You can only allow to visit JED, MAK, MED.

To obtain a Saudi Umrah Visa, you must follow these rules

a) You can only apply online through a verified travel agent.

b) Your passport must be valid for at least six months.

c) If your name is not Muslim, you must get an authentication certificate from any nearest mosque or Islamic center.

d) You must submit a recent passport-sized photo with a white or grey background and "BRP.”

e) Visa applicants must submit a hotel voucher and a flight ticket with the visa application form.

What are the rules for getting a Saudi Umrah visa?

a) Since 1446 Hijri, there is no mahram requirement.

b) Individuals above 18 can perform Umrah with an EVW/Tourist/Umrah Visa.

c) Anyone under 18 must have a guardian with them while performing Umrah.

d) You need to provide proof of the relationship, like a birth certificate that shows both parents' names for a child. Mahram needs to travel in and out of Saudi Arabia on the same flight as the children.

e) Umrah Visa holders can only travel for Umrah and not for other tours or jobs. Remember that the Saudi Umrah visa is only useful for Umrah and cannot be used for other purposes, such as a work visa.

f) Females with a different surname than their Mahram should provide proof of kinship, such as a marriage or birth certificate.

g) Non-citizens must have a valid residency permit when applying for a visa to KSA.

h) People with Hajj or Umrah visas can only enter and leave Saudi Arabia through Jeddah or Medina airports.

i) Travelers must follow the country, airport and flight rules and laws and not be breached.

j) If you violate Saudi rules & regulations, they should take strict action and enforce the country's laws appropriately.

A quick overview of the visa Terms & Conditions

a) Visas are not guaranteed under any conditions. Suppose a visa is refused due to difficulty, delay, or denial from the Saudi Embassy. In that case, the company is not responsible or inconvenienced for the related costs (including flight, hotel, and transportation changes).

b) The processing period for a visa at the Saudi Embassy can take 5-10 business days. Kindly keep in mind that everything is based on the terms and conditions. Etihad Travels/7 Continents Travel Ltd reserves the right to deny service at any time and without notice.

c) You must always follow the rules & regulations of the host country. You are responsible for what you do; we can't help or back you if you break local laws, whether intentionally or not. Only the British Embassy or your travel insurance company can help you.

d) If you cancel before we provide the Umrah Package flight tickets, hotel, and transportation vouchers, we will deduct 50% of the Administration Fee per passenger from your advance deposit and refund the other 50%.

e) This Agreement/Contract between the customer and the company will be subject to English law and jurisdiction for travel and hotel accommodations. Any additional disputes between the customer and the service provider inside Saudi Arabia shall be governed by Saudi law and the jurisdiction of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
