February Umrah Packages 2027 From UK: Travel in Quiter First Week or During Ramadan
February 2027 is not a typical February. Ramadan is expected to begin around 8 February 2027, subject to moon sighting, which means most departures this month fall inside the busiest season of the Umrah year. Travel in the first week and you will find quieter mosques and lower prices; travel from the second week and you will be performing Umrah in Ramadan itself.
At Etihad Travels, part of 7 Continents Travel Ltd, we arrange February Umrah Packages 2027 from UK with return flights, hotels in Makkah and Madinah, airport transfers and Nusuk visa support brought together in one booking. Prices start from approx. £662 per person for a 7-night 3-star package, based on four sharing, and every itinerary can be shaped around your departure airport, dates, hotel distance and room type.
When is Ramadan in February 2027?
Here is the single most important fact for this month: Ramadan 1448 is expected to run from around 8 February to early March 2027, with Eid al-Fitr expected in the second week of March. Exact dates depend on the sighting of the moon.
That timing changes how February behaves:
- 1–7 February sits before Ramadan. These are the quietest days of the month, with lower package prices and easier space for Tawaf and Sa'i.
- From around 8 February, demand rises sharply. Hotels near Masjid al-Haram in Makkah and Masjid an-Nabawi in Madinah fill months ahead, and prices reflect peak season.
- UK February half-term runs 15–19 February 2027 for most of England (some areas take 8–12 February), overlapping Ramadan — which makes family rooms the first to sell out.
If your dates are flexible, decide early which side of 8 February you want to be on, then book. We will tell you plainly which is realistic for your budget. Comparing other months? See our December Umrah packages, March Umrah packages and Easter Umrah packages.
February 2027 Umrah prices from the UK
Our February packages come in three hotel tiers, each available as a 7, 10 or 14-night itinerary — the table links to every option. All figures are from-prices, per person, based on four people sharing a room, and subject to availability; your exact price depends on departure airport, travel dates and hotel.
| Package tier | 7 nights | 10 nights | 14 nights |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3-star | from approx. £662pp | from approx. £729pp | from approx. £872pp |
| 4-star | from approx. £775pp | from approx. £897pp | from approx. £1,032pp |
| 5-star | from approx. £966pp | from approx. £1,096pp | from approx. £1,254pp |
3-star February Umrah packages — from approx. £662pp
Clean, comfortable rooms at a sensible price. Typical properties include Emaar Andalusia in Makkah (approx. 7 minutes' walk from Masjid al-Haram) and Grand Zowar or Emaar Taiba in Madinah (approx. 5 minutes' walk from Masjid an-Nabawi). Some Makkah dates use shuttle-served hotels such as Al Kiswah Tower (approx. 5–7 minutes by shuttle) — your quote always names the exact hotel and distance. A straightforward choice for students, solo pilgrims and families watching the budget; allow extra walking time once Ramadan begins.
4-star February Umrah packages — from approx. £775pp
A step up in comfort and location. Typical properties include Emaar Al Manar in Makkah (approx. 8 minutes from Masjid al-Haram) and Nusk Al Hijrah (approx. 4 minutes' walk) or Waqf Osman (approx. 5 minutes' walk) from Masjid an-Nabawi in Madinah — several serve a breakfast buffet. A few departures use shuttle-served Makkah hotels such as Al Ebaa (approx. 30 minutes by shuttle) at lower fares; the hotel, its classification and the distance are always stated on your written quote. En-suite rooms, 24-hour reception and shorter walks make this the tier most couples, families and groups choose.
5-star February Umrah packages — from approx. £966pp
For pilgrims who want the shortest walks and the most comfortable stay in our range. In Makkah: DoubleTree by Hilton Makkah Jabal Omar (approx. 3 minutes' walk from Masjid al-Haram), Al Safwah Royale Orchid (approx. 2 minutes' walk) or Sheraton Makkah Jabal Al Kaaba (approx. 2 minutes' walk). In Madinah: Pullman Zamzam Madinah (approx. 3 minutes from Masjid an-Nabawi), Emaar Royal or Al Aqeeq, both beside the mosque. Lifts, on-site dining and larger rooms suit elderly pilgrims and anyone who prefers less walking — which matters most in Ramadan crowds.
Ramadan departures — from approx. £727pp
Departures from around 8 February onwards fall within Ramadan. Our Ramadan Umrah packages include return flights, hotel, transfers and Nusuk visa support, with itineraries planned around fasting, Taraweeh and the rhythm of the month — our 5-star Ramadan packages include suhoor and iftar buffets. Ramadan pricing sits above equivalent early-February dates and rises through the month; the tier, hotels and exact dates are set out on your quote. Enquire early — these are the first packages to sell out.
What's included in a February Umrah package?
Every February package includes the essentials below. Anything else — hold baggage, a specific airline, private transfers, guided Ziyarat — can be added when you build your quote, and your written quote lists exactly what you are paying for.
Return flights from the UK
Base fares may use connecting services; direct flights to Jeddah are available on request from London Heathrow, Manchester and Birmingham, taking approx. 6.5–7 hours. From Glasgow and other UK airports you will travel on connecting flights. There are no direct flights to Madinah on these packages: Madinah is reached by a connecting flight or by road transfer. Airline options include Saudia, Qatar Airways and Emirates, depending on live fares. Hold baggage is an optional add-on — tell us what you are carrying and we will build the right allowance into your fare. See our departure pages for London, Manchester, Birmingham and Glasgow.
Hotels in Makkah and Madinah
You choose the tier; we name the exact hotels on your quote, with the walking distance stated for each — to Masjid al-Haram in Makkah, and to Masjid an-Nabawi (the Prophet's Mosque) in Madinah. Prices are based on four sharing; twin, triple and family rooms are quoted on request, and the board basis for your hotels is confirmed in writing at the same time.
Nusuk visa support
The Umrah visa is applied for through Nusuk, Saudi Arabia's official platform, which is mandatory for Umrah visas and accommodation booking. We provide Nusuk support and guidance: which documents you need, how to complete the application, and what to expect. Issuance decisions and timings rest with the Saudi authorities — no visa is ever guaranteed, and you should be cautious of any agency that promises one. British passport holders may also qualify for the Saudi Electronic Visa Waiver; our Umrah visa guidance explains the routes and which suits your passport.
Airport transfers
Transfers between Jeddah's King Abdulaziz International Airport, Makkah and Madinah are included; your quote states whether they are shared coach or private. Umrah visa holders enter and leave Saudi Arabia through Jeddah or Madinah airports. During Ramadan, road journeys around Iftar take longer — we schedule arrivals with that in mind.
Optional guidance for first-time pilgrims
If this is your first Umrah, ask about guided support: help with Ihram and the Miqat, the rites themselves, and Ziyarat in both cities — including Masjid Quba, Masjid al-Qiblatain and the Seven Mosques in Madinah. Families, elderly travellers and groups use this most.
Not included as standard: travel insurance (strongly recommended — arrange comprehensive cover including trip cancellation, delay, baggage and emergency medical assistance), hold baggage unless added to your fare, meals unless your board basis says otherwise, and extras such as Saudi SIM cards.
Early February or Ramadan: which dates suit you?
1–7 February: quieter days, lower prices
The first week of February 2027 is the last quiet window before Ramadan. Flights and hotels cost less, the mosques are calmer, and elderly pilgrims in particular find Tawaf and Sa'i easier. If your priority is space and value, this is your week.
Umrah in Ramadan: from around 8 February
Performing Umrah in Ramadan carries particular significance: the Prophet (peace be upon him) said that Umrah in Ramadan is equal in reward to Hajj (reported in Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim). Scholars note this describes the reward — it does not replace the obligation of Hajj. Practically, expect the largest crowds of the year, prices at their annual peak, and days shaped by fasting, Taraweeh and night worship. Book months ahead and weigh your hotel distance carefully: a shorter walk is worth more in Ramadan than at any other time.
Women travelling for February Umrah
Since 1446 AH there has been no mahram requirement, so women can perform Umrah without a male guardian — travelling solo, with friends or in a group. Tell us your rooming preferences when you enquire and we will arrange them on your quote.
Travelling in February half-term with children
For most of England, half-term runs 15–19 February 2027, with some areas taking 8–12 February — check your school's own calendar. Both weeks fall inside Ramadan, so it is one of the few chances for children to experience Ramadan in Makkah and Madinah without missing school, and it is why family rooms sell out first. Tell us your children's ages and we will price your family's rooms and fares; if you need quad or connecting rooms, enquire as early as you can. Travelling as a larger party? Our group Umrah packages cover shared flights and rooming.
February weather in Makkah and Madinah
February is one of the more comfortable months in the holy cities, though warmer than many first-time visitors expect. Makkah typically reaches approx. 28–32°C by day, falling to approx. 16–19°C at night. Madinah runs cooler: approx. 24–28°C by day and approx. 10–14°C at night, with chilly early mornings. Pack light, breathable clothing, comfortable sandals and one warm layer for Fajr, evenings and air-conditioned spaces. Rain is rare in both cities in February.
Why book with Etihad Travels
Etihad Travels is a trading name of 7 Continents Travel Ltd (Companies House 05224578), a UK travel company trading since 2006 from 262A Upper Tooting Road, London SW17 0DN. The company holds ATOL 10416 and is IATA accredited (91280442).
What that protection means, precisely: when you book a flight-inclusive package, the money you pay is protected under the ATOL scheme against the company's financial failure, and you receive an ATOL Certificate confirming what is covered. ATOL does not apply to flight-only or accommodation-only bookings, and it is not a general guarantee about your trip — see our booking conditions for the full terms.
Day to day, you deal with a UK-based team that specialises in Umrah: people who can tell you honestly whether a hotel's “short walk” is short for your parents, which airport makes sense for your dates, and what your Nusuk application needs. Call 0203 930 8114 or message us on WhatsApp at 0775 180 0854.
How to book and how payment works
- Tell us your dates and budget — by phone, WhatsApp or the quote form.
- Compare your options. We send named hotels with distances, flight choices and a full price for your party — with children's fares and family rooms priced by age.
- Confirm with a 50% deposit. A 50% deposit of the total price secures your booking. Because fares can move until final payment, we recommend settling the balance early — full details in our booking conditions.
- Receive your documents — flights, hotel confirmations, transfer details and, for flight-inclusive bookings, your ATOL Certificate — before departure.
Cancellation and amendment terms are set out in our bookingconditions — read them before you pay, because issued airline tickets carry strict change rules.
Preparing for February Umrah
Documents. A passport valid for at least six months from your date of travel, your Nusuk visa, and printed copies of your bookings kept separately from the originals.
Vaccination. Saudi Arabia requires a meningococcal ACWY vaccination certificate for Umrah, issued at least 10 days before you arrive. Certificates are valid for three years (polysaccharide vaccine) or five years (conjugate vaccine) — check yours, and check GOV.UK and TravelHealthPro for the current rules before you travel.
What to pack. Ihram garments — two unstitched white cloths for men; women wear ordinary modest clothing — plus comfortable sandals, a prayer mat, regular medication in its original packaging, a light jacket and a small day bag.
During Ramadan. Plan rest around the fast: Tawaf is calmer in the late morning and after midnight, while the hours around Iftar and Taraweeh are the most crowded. Drink plenty of water between Iftar and Suhoor, and keep your first day light.
